Biography

Tyler Lewis,

​Baroque & Modern Violin

Tyler Lewis received his degree In Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of  Music.  Specializing in Baroque music, Tyler Lewis preforms with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Live Oak Baroque Orchestra, Bach Collegium San Diego, American Bach Soloist, Sinfonia Spirituoso, and other Baroque ensembles along the west coast.  Tyler has been a part of Ryedale Festival in Yorkshire UK , Napa Valley’s Festival Del Sole, St. Paul’s International Music Festival, China’s Festival of Spring, NYC Lincoln Theatre's Mostly Mozart, Naumburg Orchestral Concerts in central park, NYC, Victory Bach Festival, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, Caramoor,  Tangelwood, Norfolk Music Festival, and the Napa Shakespeare Festival.

 Tyler Lewis is also a member of the Sylvestris Quartet, a historically informed String quartet based in the San Francisco Bay Area,  performances from Washington to Hawaii.

                                                                               Seasonally, Tyler coaches the Aspirante Youth Orchestra and Debut Youth Orchestra in Santa Rosa CA.  During the year Tyler operates a private violin studio located in Charlotte, North Carolina, close to Huntersville.  

A member of the American String Teachers Association.  

 In his spare time he enjoys nights under the stars with a telescope, cooking, lapidary and racing motorcycles.  For information on private violin instruction,
